About OEPM
We are pleased to announce the 9th Open European Peroxisome Meeting (OEPM 2024), which will take place from September 26th to 28th, 2024 at the Eden Roc Hotel in Spain.
OEPM is a biannual meeting organized by a European peroxisome research group. The first OEPM was in 2006 in Leuven (BEL), followed by meetings in Lunteren (NED), Dijon (FRA), Neuss (GER), Vienna (AUT), Groningen (NED), ZOOM, and Aveiro (POR).
OEPM aims to give young peroxisome researchers the opportunity to present their work to an international audience. Therefore, all talks are presented exclusively by early-stage researchers. In addition, all participants are encouraged to present their work in a poster.
We very much hope to see you at the OEPM2024 to what we believe will be an exciting meeting for researchers working on the various aspects of peroxisome biology.
The OEPM organization team,
Prof. Dr. Ralf Erdmann Prof. Dr. Michael Schrader

Registration
The registration deadline for OEPM 2024 is 30th May, 2024. Registration does not guarantee attendance at the conference or acceptance of an abstract for oral or poster presentation but is required for a submitted abstract to be accepted. Acceptance of registration will be communicated at a later date following the deadline.
Please note that abstract submission and registration for the meeting are two independent processes. During registration, please provide the same email address used during abstract submission. After submitting the information on the first page, you will have the option to choose whether to have a roommate or stay in a room alone (single use).
No conference fees are due upon registration; all fees for the conference, room, and all included meals and amenities
will be paid for individually in advance directly to the hotel or upon arrival at the hotel.
Abstract submission
Abstract submission and guidelines
The abstract submission deadline is the 15th of July 2024.
Abstracts should be delivered as Word (.doc, .docx) files, according to the following guidelines:
• Title (maximum 20 words)
• Authors and affiliations (the presenting author and the senior author/supervisor should both be clearly indicated)
• Main text (150-200 words)
Please download and use the abstract template here.
Please indicate whether you would like your abstract to be considered for an oral presentation, a poster or both.
Please note that abstract submission (by July 15th 2024) and registration for the meeting (by May 30th 2024) are two independent processes. Please provide the email address you used during registration.
Following assessment by the scientific committee, authors will be notified by email on whether their contribution has been accepted for a presentation.
Abstracts will be published exactly as submitted. After submission, abstracts are considered final and can no longer be altered. After review, the presenting author will be notified, pending acceptance, of their participation along with the format and schedule. The presenting author must be registered in order for the abstract to be considered for acceptance. The authors of the abstracts have sole responsibility for any potential intellectual property issues or conflicts of interest in the submitted content. The organisation team reserves the legal right to use the submitted abstracts for conference purposes.
Guidelines for oral presentations
The format and length of oral presentations is to be announced after the deadline for abstract submission; however, talks will not exceed 10-15 minutes each.
(Please provide your PowerPoint presentation to the organisation team well before your session starts).
Guidelines for poster presentation
Posters should be in A0 portrait format (height x width: 118,8 x 84 cm). The poster should be displayed throughout the whole meeting.
